Ben Gleib

Ben Gleib was just named by TBS one of the "funniest comedians working today."

He is host, writer, and executive producer of the Emmy nominated "Idiotest," the hit comedy brain teaser game show in it's 3rd season on GSN, with 145 episodes. It's the most watched original program on the network.

His hilarious hour-long standup special "Ben Gleib - Neurotic Gangster" is currently airing on Showtime.

He is also a regular on "The Today Show" with Kathie Lee and Hoda, on their "Guys Tell All" segment, and you may have seen one of his recent appearances on "@Midnight with Chris Hardwick" on Comedy Central.

Recently he was guest co-anchor for a week for ABC News digital, from ABC News world headquarters in New York. An unusual gig for a comedian, another example of why he is one of the most multi-talented comics in the country.

For 7 years he was a round table regular on "Chelsea Lately" on E! with over 100 appearances! He also played himself on a memorable episode of the E! scripted series "After Lately."

He has toured sold-out arenas all over North America with both Chelsea Handler and Dane Cook, has been headlining comedy clubs around the globe since 2007, and has performed on "The Late Late Show," "Last Comic Standing," and twice on "Last Call with Carson Daly." He is constantly on tour, and is likely performing soon in a town near you.

Esquire once called him one of “Six comedians who could be comedy’s next big thing.” The other five were Aziz Ansari, Patton Oswalt, David Cross, Demetri Martin, and Flight of the Conchords. It came true for all of them and it now seems to be Gleib's time.

He is the first comedian to ever live stream a full headline set on Facebook Live, and has been doing it for one show in each city on his current tour, 100% improvised, each set getting over 300,000 views. His act is chock full of hilarious material, but he's also one of the best improvisers in standup comedy.

A truly unique voice in comedy, he's even been a frequent on-air contributor on CNN, "The Young Turks," and NPR, winning a Golden Mic for his work on Southern California NPR's "Patt Morrison's Comedy Congress." Recently he created, executive produced, hosted and was head writer on a spinoff special for GSN called "Political Idiotest," blending his game show with his love of politics. And he was the anchor of GSN's interstitial series "Man VS Fly."

An accomplished voice over actor, Gleib is one of the stars of Kevin Smith's "Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie," is the voice of Marshall the Sloth in "Ice Age: Continental Drift," (the #2 animated movie of all-time internationally,) and voices Dali in "The Book of Life" starring Channing Tatum. His voices have also appeared in "Phineas and Ferb," and youtube series "The Melvin Bros."

His podcast “Last Week on Earth with Ben Gleib” on the Smodcast Network debuted at #9 on iTunes Comedy, and was #1 on Stitcher for over 20 weeks. Every Wednesday, he hilariously summarizes news and politics, occasionally being joined by celebrity guests like Bryan Cranston, Meghan McCain, Bob Odenkirk, Sam Donaldson, Moby, Adam Devine, and his parents. (You can subscribe, rate and review on iTunes.)

He hosted "Oscar Roadtrip" which was featured on ABC's Oscars Pre-Show for the 85th Academy Awards. He co-wrote and stars in the scripted webseries "CINEDOPES," available for free on Youtube. Gleib is also one of the leads in the upcoming feature film "Bad People - The Movie" and is making his dramatic acting debut in the sci fi short film "CHANNEL."

In 2007, he starred in the primetime NBC hidden camera comedy series "The Real Wedding Crashers," a show in which he played multiple characters.

In 2006, he sold a pilot to FOX called "The Gleib Show" produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video, and NBC Universal. This was based on a show he did for 3 seasons for the National Lampoon Network, and for 4 years before that in college at UC San Diego. It became a class that students could take for 4 units. (This helped several of his friends graduate. Gleib had the honor of speaking at that graduation.)

His online videos have received more than 25 million views, he has worked for all 4 broadcast TV networks, and many of the major cable networks and digital platforms.

In 2008, he shot a pilot where he got to meet and mess with Barack Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton, and ruined a John McCain press conference, getting kicked out by the Secret Service. You can see those clips here.

On the radio, he is a regular on the hugely popular shows The Bob and Tom Show, and Kevin and Bean.

He also enjoys freestyle rapping, has a rap group called BENS, and is proudest that he is probably better than you at ping pong.

He is also aware that he has to work on his posture. He's 6'1" but looks like he's 5'9".

A social media addict, Gleib is always posting weird and funny things online. Follow him here

Arthur Muhammad, Director and Screenwriter

Arthur Muhammad is a rare breed of filmmaker and exceptional visionary. He studied Cinema at Southern Methodist University and has been involved with video and film production professionally for 16 years. His contributions have been instrumental in the development of movies, commercials, television shows and music videos.

Muhammad's first short film C'Ya won Best Film in the Dallas Black Film Festival and the 21st Annual Scottsdale Film Festival. His first feature Solitaire, also won Best Film in the Dallas Black Film Festival, and went on to be internationally distributed by Maverick Entertainment.

Arthur Muhammad gained much experience with some independent counterparts, whom unfortunately ran into financial obstacles, and never completed their films. He has taken those opportunities to create a professional platform for his own works. He is equipped to be an asset in just about every facet of making a film- from writing, shooting, editing, directing, scoring, and producing. Through knowledge gained from past encounters, be it successful or unsuccessful, Muhammad has vowed to make sure that the completion of his own films will never be an issue.

With this dedicated energy and unwavering mentality, C'Ya was produced on 16mm film for $1,000 dollars and his first feature film Solitaire, was produced on 16mm film for $6,000 dollars. Arthur Muhammad has been honored as a writer for his screenplay, Carter High at the 2009 Cinema City International Film Festival’s Screenwriter Awards, in Los Angeles.

Carter High is the long awaited true story of the 1988 Carter High Cowboys, the most feared high school football team in Texas during this period. It is the Carter High story that inspired the blockbuster football movie Friday Night Lights and the later produced TV series. His feature film, Black Angels (originally Sweet Justice), the story of a private child support agency that believes in collecting payment by any means necessary, sold out the Studio Movie Grill theaters throughout Dallas, TX and received international video distribution through Wells Go, USA. Arthur wrapped two films in which he directed, Paradise House which was filmed in Dallas and most recently- First Impression, which was filmed in Atlanta. First Impression was selected as an Official Selection in the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) 2014 and is now managing international distribution offers.

Arthur Muhammad is a force on the move creating projects that force the audience to think, while attracting a worldwide presence to the film industry. He is the true voice and his works are the accurate vision of an independent filmmaker.

Director Arthur Muhammad and native of Dallas who also attended "Carter High Highschool" told his story of inspiration to Lioness on air! He also spoke on how he got A-list actors & actresses to collaborate on the film and how rewarding the successes were. The Carter High was seen in theaters across the globe and is now currently on RedBox, Amazon, Itunes, Netflix and back on BET in January 2017. OFFICIAL DJ OF DALLAS MAVERICKS "Poizon Ivy" steps in the studio and gets a taste of The Outlet up close!

In an industry where males still dominate, emerges an unapologetically zealous, multi-culturally influenced student of her craft, DJ Poizon Ivy. The talented empress behind the turntables balances deejaying on-air, on main concert stages, at select nightclubs and lifestyle venues, for celebrity and non-profit events, and for corporate clients, with now hosting, interviewing and modeling. As an international DJ, Poizon Ivy has a love for diverse music, incorporating all genres into her sets and radio mixes.

Born Ivy Awino in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in Dallas, Texas, Ivy mastered both the piano and cello before discovering her love for yet another instrument; turntables. In 2010, Ivy got her first break hosting her self-titled weekly online radio show, “Poizon Ivy After Dark” on WMUR, Marquette University’s student ran radio station. In a few short years, Ivy rose in ranks, setting off the city’s largest concert stages at Milwaukee’s Marcus Amphitheater and the recognized “World’s Largest Music Festival,” Summerfest, opening for some of the most notorious names in music: Nas, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B, J. Cole and Juicy J to name a few. She is now one of the most in-demand Midwest DJ talents, performing and hosting throughout the Midwest region.

DJ Poizon Ivy is currently the first female mixer to grace the airwaves at WKKV-FM as a V100.7 Mix Squad DJ. Going from on air, to clubs and main stages, DJ Poizon Ivy has lent her services to major brands and corporations including Atlantic Records, Red Bull, Adidas, and the Milwaukee Brewers. She’s spun for non-profit organizations and events: Skylar Diggins “Shoot 4 the Sky” Basketball Camp Tour, Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League, and Obama for America.

When she’s not honing her skills, DJ Poizon Ivy is advocating for various causes and working with non-profit organizations that enable young women pursuing careers in music, young mothers, and organizations that aide health issues affecting young women.

DJ Poizon Ivy’s personal vision includes branding herself as a curator of music, fashion, entertainment and all things female empowerment.

“When it’s all said and done, the only thing that should matter is how well you do the job; not your gender,” says DJ Poizon Ivy.

Poizion Ivy spent a great deal of time in Milwaukee where Lioness grew up, so there is no wonder they attracted themselves to each other in the industry! "Like minds think alike".  Lioness quotes "I can not wait to see how life will bring us together again, she is a true hustler like myself. Now she is back in Dallas and doing her thing!" Check out Dj Poizon Ivy's gigs on if you are down in the dirty D! Also, visit her website at Poizonivthedj.com

Famous comedian Ben Gleib

Famous comedian Ben Gleib

👉Catch entrepreneur and custom creator of steel resonator guitars Matt Eich on my radio show!🎸      REINVENTING THE 1930's era guitar,EVERYTHING made from scratch, not imported or re branded guitars Matt started his successful company ground up! FIND OUT HOW

att spoke with Lioness about how he started his company making specialized guitars for a living. He discussed how everything was made out of scratch and that it initially took him a year to complete one guitar when beginning.  BUT Matt did not let that stop him and he surely persevered to what is now one the most successful custom making guitar businesses in America. He is currently on guitar 220 something and has been around so far for 5 years! Check him out now! Visit his website and get your next guitar

My name is Matt Eich and I build these steel bodied resonator guitars in Saginaw, Michigan. Using what I know about instrument making, I’m rethinking these 1930’s era instruments so they can be used as an expressive tonal layer in any style of music. I cut out the steel plates I get from a steel shop in town and form them.  I get locally sourced maple boards and carve them into necks.  I apply the patina using a process I myself worked on for months.  These guitars are not imported and rebranded.  I make them with my own hands.

The story: I moved to Chicago after working at Huss and Dalton Guitars because of some family medical issues.  A few more unfortunate diagnosis for other family members kept me there, and then during the recession  I lost my manufacturing job.  I left wondering, well… what now? A friend of mine told me a saying, one that became my mantra during my years working many blue collar jobs, “One day closer.”  That day was here, but I didn’t know what it meant.

Then I saw Kelly Joe Phelps play his National.  People went nuts about this unique instrument, and how masterfully he wielded it.   His music was my very first exposure to acoustic music about 10 years earlier (You can fingerpick the guitar?) and I left wondering if I could build one, but allowing the look of the  natural materials to be the centerpiece along with a thick acoustic tone not typically found in resonators.

A tremendous amount of research, and scrap, ensued.  I had to talk to all sorts of metal workers to develop the instrument that is shown on these pages. I made some instruments and ran out of money. I went back into a manufacturing plant swinging engine blocks. So close. I worked there for two weeks and 12 people signed up on the wait list. I quit. It grew to 20, 50, 70, 80.   It’s been a great adventure.

I love letting the raw material show through. No chrome, no powder coat. There’s a lot of history in metalwork, and I’m equally excitedabout where this process will lead me next. I love figuring out new ways of making these unique instruments sound bigger. Buying an instrument made by one person means you being included in that experience, and in the history of these instruments. These are instruments expressing a tone that can not be reproduced by any other kind and are made by a person who loves being able to be part of this history of instrument making.

I really do appreciate any interest you have in my work.   I love to talk guitars.  Let me know how I can help. muleresonators@gmail.com.

Lioness brings celebrity hair stylist Michael Solis on her radio show!

Lioness gets whipped and flipped as she talks to infamous celebrity hair dresser Michael Solis all the way from Los Angeles.

With a passion for hair that began with his sisters Barbies, Michael Solis has secured his rank as one of L.A.'s most sought after hair dressers. A Los Angeles native, Solis's path to the top began with an early entrance to cosmetology school at the young age of 16. Straight out of beauty school he found himself working at Prive and later Estilo, two of L.A.'s chicest salons both cutting and applying color to many of Hollywoods biggest stars. A freelance career in print and film was born soon after.

A switch to the Jonathan Salon brought him worldwide recognition when owner Jonathan Antin secured a reality show deal with the Bravo network. Three years on the hit Bravo show helped him established countless relationships in the entertainment industry. As key stylist to The Pussy Cat Dolls, Michael's signature style has appeared everywhere, from Dancing With The Stars, to the Grammy's stage and countless red carpets. His positive attitude and appreciation for the job is evident as his celebrity following continues to thrive.
